Never pray for patience; the Lord just gives you chances to practice it, like waiting to hear back about the job.

But if it’s no, then I guess I at least had some time imagining the joy of it all. It’s been a little ray of sunshine, even reaching underground.

The truth is the oil patch, which almost runs the economy in Alberta is hurting. Many companies are making huge cutbacks. Lots of people, many with little education and used to making big salaries, are finding themselves out of work. The company my cowboy is driving for kept him and let a bunch of others go so I’m just thankful we can at least pay the bills and eat.

  1. *hugs* Things are bad everywhere. God bless.

  2. It would be nice to know one way or the other though. Good that he is still working.
